CRI Tuesday Evening Crit News & Results

  Review

Hi Everyone, for those of you who looked out the window last night and decided to leave the bike in the shed � a good nights racing was missed.

In the A grade Clinton, Dirk ,Jerome & Scott fought out the last few laps with a sprint from the last corner giving Jerome our Swiss visitor the victory.

The B grade saw Sepp on his single speed win the sprint over Gary Jackson. In the C grade it was a battle of the sexes with Maryann, Monquie & Sarah keeping Ray and I honest. I took the lead at the bell and crossed the line first closely followed by Sarah & Monique. The D grade were lucky enough to have Clinton riding with them during their race ,offering a few pointers . Reminder next week�s Tuesday race is at the Velodrome

The points race has now started . 5pts for a win, 3pts for 2^nd , 2 pts for 3^rd and 1 bonus  point if you finish the race.

The Points you gain from here on in go towards your season totals, The rider in each grade who gains the most wins the coveted trophy for their respective grade.
Remember you gain 1 point for finishing. This point can add up over the season and make difference to your final total.

Junior grade 6.10pm  3 laps

D grade 6.20pm 10mins plus 1 lap

C grade 6.20pm 10mins plus 3 laps

B grade 6.30pm 15mins plus 3 laps

A grade 6.30pm  15mins plus 5 laps

Bryce Rd Handicap Summer series News & Results

Hi All, please find results attached. A small group of hard core riders raced last night in very windy conditions .I think a few of us are already suffering from the Christmas festivities!

There will be  bunch rides leaving Shorland Holden Thursday 28^{th Dec} & Thursday 5^th Jan at 6pm. Route will be Town-Bryce Rd-Waikaukau Rd-Corbett Rd-Tuminui Rd-town approx 45km, all welcome. Ph Kevin (Shorland Holden) 3489701.

 Bryce Road  Thursday night -sign on from 5.45pm first group leaves at 6.15pm.

Sunday Club Ride 2nd October

Start /finish Bryce Rd. The ride Encompassed  Bryce Rd, Waikaukau Rd,  Whirinaki  Valley Rd, Rehi Rd and back to the finish at Bryce Rd a distance of approx 35.5km.
Reports:

 Report;  A hardy bunch of riders turned up at Bryce Rd to very wet and windy conditions on Sunday.

In Group 1  Neville Carter & Sam Phipps made a strong break on the way home crossing the bridge and maintained the gap to the finish. With Neville crossing the line first. A great ride from Sam.

In Group 2 Paul McDowell showed his mountain biking strengths on the hills wearing out the competition then he jumped in with Group 1 -13km from home to finish 3.30 min ahead of JP & Peter (I think there needs to be a drug test)

In Group 3 Mike Long showed his winter training is paying off with a convincing win and a grade change for the next race. Graham White and Allan Ryan rode in 2^nd & 3^rd.

 Thanks very much to Hylton and Jackie l for running the finish line on such a miserable day.
